Bryan Bouffier took the lead Rally Sanremo, but the Frenchman fell to eighth place, losing a minute when he broke his right rear suspension following contact with a barrier. The pilot of the Peugeot 207 S2000 is however able to rally support. Paolo Andreucci finds himself at the head of the event with a lead of only four tenths over the Skoda Fabia S2000 of Umberto Scandola. The 207 S2000 of Giandomenico Basso and Craig Breen follow in front of the Peugeot of Alessandro Perico who completes the top five, around twenty seconds behind the leader. Jean-Mathieu Leandri occupies 10th position, more than two minutes from the lead of the race. Jérémi Ancian has already thrown in the towel on engine problems.

Federico Gasperetti leads the Production category on his Renault Mégane RS already half a minute ahead of Andreas Aigner's Subaru Impreza R4. Robert Consani retired following brake problems and hopes to restart tomorrow in Rally2.
