Esapekka Lappi (Skoda) retains the lead at the finish of the first stage of the Rally of Ireland with a lead of 12 seconds over the Peugeot 208 T16 Craig Breen, while his teammate Kevin Abbring retired following another broken radiator. Robert Barrable (Fiesta R5) still completes the provisional podium with less than nine seconds ahead of Sepp Wiegand (Skoda) while Sam Moffett (Fiesta RRC) completes the top five ahead of Robert Consani (Peugeot 207 S2000).
