Robert Kubica (Citroën DS3 RRC) has just lost his hopes of victory in the Rally from Poland after tearing off a wheel in the last special of the first stage. The Pole is uncertain whether he will be able to leave tomorrow but the former pilot of F1 lost more than three minutes in the incident anyway. Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot 207 S2000) retains the lead of the event and now finds himself battling against Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Ford Fiesta R5) who has come back to within 17 seconds of the three-time Polish Rally champion. Michal Solowow (Fiesta RRC) completes the new provisional podium five seconds ahead of Championship leader Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia S2000). Craig Breen (207 S2000) dropped to eighth after suffering a puncture. Jérémi Ancian (207 S2000) moved back into the top ten.
