Eric Brunson (Subaru Impreza) WRC), leader of Rally Montagne Noire since the first special, is still in control of the Coupe de France des Rallyes event, with two special stages remaining. Victory should not escape him, while, for second place, the duel between Thierry Beuron (Peugeot 307 WRC) and Michel Bonfils (Subaru Impreza WRC) has not yet delivered his verdict. The two men are separated by less than two seconds. Sixth overall, Eric Mauffrey (Renault Clio R3) dominates the R group.
