Dany Snobeck (Citroen C4 WRC) sees his title hopes disappear. While he was leading the title contenders in 6th place, the Citroën driver went out on the Pignan course and tore off his left front wheel. Several drivers will thus receive a fixed time after being blocked by the accident car.
Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) signs his second scratch by completing the 16,7km in 10?32??3 and increases his lead by 5??5 over Stéphane Sarrazin (Peugeot 307 WRC). Ott Tanak (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) failed one second behind the Frenchman while Pierre Campana (Mini JCW WRC) finished 8 seconds behind the Estonian. Eric Brunson (Subaru Impreza) finished 17??7 from the scratch and took the lead of the title contenders.
