Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda) took the scratch in the qualifying stage of Rally Liepaja by completing the 3,02km qualifying stage in 1'31''876. The Latvian chose the last position in the starting order and will start behind Fredrik Ahlin (Skoda). Laurent Pellier (Peugeot ) will start from 5th place. The Brazilian Paulo Nobre (Skoda) will have the disadvantage of opening the road.
