After a cautious start, Andreas Mikkelsen (Fabia S2000) takes the lead of the Rally San Marino after completing the second stage of SS3 in Sestino won by Giandomenico Basso (Fiesta S2000). The Italian achieved a time of 15'36"3, ahead of the Norwegian by 3"8. “It’s much better now, the tires are working well”, comments the new leader. “We are in difficulty in the hairpins but the car's turbo is much more efficient. »

Umberto Scandola (Fabia S2000) finished 8”1 behind and lost a place 1”5 behind Giandomenico Basso. Sepp Wiegand (Fabia S2000) fell to fourth place, only 4”4 behind the leader. Germain Bonnefis (207 S2000) remains less than eight minutes from the race lead after his mechanical damage encountered this morning.
