Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) had a start rally difficult but the IRC champion still signs his second scratch in the 30,4km of Panayia by gaining more than 18 seconds from leader Nasser Al-Attiyah (Ford) who suffered from a broken engine shaft. Sepp Wiegand thus gave up his second place to the Norwegian after losing a lot of time in a spin.

Andreas Mikkelsen is still 1'33 behind Nasser Al-Attiyah. Sepp Wiegand completes the provisional podium more than 24 seconds behind the first Skoda. Jarkko Nikara (Subaru Impreza STI R4) fell to fourth place. Robert Consani relinquishes control of the 2WD category after encountering clutch problems.
