Alone in the lead after his 8 scratches in 9 specials on Friday, Alexey Lukynanuk (Citroën C3 Rally2) is fast approaching victory in the Rally of the Canary Islands, last round of the 2021 season of theERC.

Ultra-dominant, the Russian didn't even leave any crumbs to his rivals during the first loop of the day this Saturday. Full of authority, Alexey Lukynanuk set the best time of the four special stages contested on the Iberian archipelago. He was thus able to increase his lead to 41” over Spaniard Efrén Llaren (Skoda Fabia Rally1). The Pole Mikolaj Marczyk has gained a small place compared to the day before and is currently 2rd, 3” from the lead.

Having made a mistake during SS10, the first of the day, Yoann Bonato, 6th overall on Friday evening, was forced to retire.
