While he was comfortably installed at the head of the Rally Mont-Blanc, Dany Snobeck (Citroën C4 WRC) went off the road in the last special of the morning (SS9). Frédéric Comte (Peugeot 307 WRC) regains control of the event with more than a minute ahead of Pierre Roché (307 WRC). Pierre Campana (Mini Countryman S) is provisionally on the podium 18 seconds behind the second 307 WRC, Gilles Nantet having slipped to fourth place nine seconds behind the Mini driver.
