Spaniard Nil Solans dominated the first four special stages of the Rally Canary Islands, Channel of theERC, this Friday. On his Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, he is nine seconds ahead of his compatriot Ivan Ares. A big surprise for the moment, since the favorites are for some far behind.
French Adrien fourmaux fared best with the Ford Fiesta R5 MkII and was third, 27 seconds behind. For his part, Yoann Bonato is only in eighth place in the Citroën C3 R5 at 48,5 seconds. Championship leader Alexey Lukyanuk, also on Citroën, is even further behind in 10th place at 56 seconds and Oliver Solberg 13th at 1'14.
Finally, Frenchman Marc Amourette stands out in 15th place at the wheel of the Citroën.
