Rzeszow-SS2: Lukyanuk rolls, Ostberg takes the lead

Leader at the end of SS1 Rally Rzeszow in Poland, Russian Alexey Lukyanuk (Ford Fiesta R5) rolled over in SS2. The crew is however fine, but the Fiesta R5 is destroyed as shown in the image below.

 

 

Despite losing his brakes 5 km from the finish, Mads Ostberg (Ford Fiesta R5) headed for the best time of the special in 13'08″9, 4″7 ahead of Bryan Bouffier (Ford Fiesta R5) and 11″ 6 ahead of Marijan Griebel (Skoda Fabia R5).

This same trio is provisionally at the top of the general classification, with Ostberg at the forefront with a lead of 15″8 over Bouffier and 18″8 over Griebel, but several drivers lost time when arriving at the scene of the accident. Lukyanuk, including Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda Fabia R5), who conceded more than 2′.
