Without much surprise, Sébastien Loeb (Citroen C4 WRC) finished the first day of the Rally du Var in the lead, around thirty seconds ahead of Brice Tirabassi (Subaru Impreza S14 WRC), his runner-up in each of the three afternoon specials. Patrick Henry (Peugeot 307 WRC) is more than a minute away. Followed by Pieter Tsjoen (Ford Focus RS WRC), Cédric Robert (Abarth Grande Punto S2000), Stéphane Sarrazin (Peugeot 207 S2000) and Guillaume Canivenq (Peugeot 207 S2000). Five stages are planned for Saturday, three for Sunday.
