The last World Motor Sport Council held in Monaco formalized the change of promoter in the European Rally Championship ERC starting with the 2022 season.
One year before the end of the current contract between Eurosport Events and the FIA and this since 2013, it will be WRC Promoter who will manage the destiny of the ERC from next year, offering the latter the complete pyramid with the WRC and the continental level, in order to strengthen the FIA Rally pyramid.
Rewards for ERC Junior champions will be guaranteed despite this organizational change.
Eurosport Events will focus on the promotion of electric touring and GT, with the Pure ETCR in addition to the WTCR and especially the highly anticipated FIA GT Electric, via the strategy defined by the Discovery group.
