Si Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) a écopé d’une minute de pénalité après avoir changé le triangle de suspension cassé, le quintuple champion du WRC a signé le scratch dans les 20,37km d’Içmeler avalés en 14’28’’2 avec plus de 6 secondes d’avance sur Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai). Ott Tänak (Toyota) a suivi à une douzaine de secondes en reprenant 8 secondes à son coéquipier Jari-Matti Latvala. Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) a suivi à 20 secondes devant Elfyn Evans (M-Sport), Craig Breen and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport).

Andreas Mikkelsen finds himself at the top of the Rally from Turkey with more than half a minute ahead of Ott Tänak who took the advantage over Jari-Matti Latvala for a little over 2 seconds ahead. Sébastien Ogier finds himself in 4th position less than 8 seconds behind the Finn. Hayden Paddon remains in 5th place while Craig Breen takes advantage of Esapekka Lappi's error to take 6th position ahead of Teemu Suninen.
