The twelfth special stage of the Rally Poland saw several events, modifying the general classification of the event. First it was Sébastien Ogier (Ford) who hit a rock, puncturing the tire and damaging the left rear wheel of his Fiesta.

The Frenchman's car also had its front bumper missing. The former VW driver changed his wheel after the finish of the stage and continued towards the next sector. The world champion conceded more than 30″ on this SS and lost his fourth place to Hayden Paddon (Hyundai).

At the head of the race, the order of the classification also changed, since thanks to his best time, Ott Tänak (Ford) took control of the rally with a 3″ lead over Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) conceded 5″ on Tänak in this SS, and maintains his third place, 4″7 behind the new leader.
