It's rare enough to be highlighted: Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) was not the fastest on a special stage of the 2022 Rally Estonia! The Finn left this honor to his Toyota Gazoo Racing teammate Esapekka Lappi in one of the shortest stages of the event this Sunday July 17.

The leader of the event and the World Championship was in fact slowed down by the onset of rain. Starting while the sky was still clear, Adrien Fourmaux (M-Sport Ford) set the second fastest time. In WRC2, Teemu Suninen (Hyundai) closed to less than 10 seconds of leader Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda).
