This is the end of this eighth special of the 2020 Sardinia Rally. Dani Sordo set the best time ahead of Elfyn Evans and Thierry Neuville. Kalle Rovanperä was unable to complete SS8 after going off the track.
Best time of the special for Dani Sordo. The Spaniard confirms his good form with a time of 8'52″5, 1″8 faster than Elfyn Evans
Teemu Suninen is still losing ground. The Finn crossed the finish line in 9'08″8, more than 14 seconds behind the best time of the special
Thierry Neuville provisionally second after his passage in 8'56″5 to 2″2 from Elfyn Evans
3″7 behind Sébastien Ogier on Elfyn Evans at the finish of the special. The Frenchman rode in 8'58
Very good SS8 from championship leader Elfyn Evans. The Welshman completed the special in 8'54″3, ahead of Ott Tänak by 9″6
Second provisional time for Gus Greensmith in 9'09″8 almost 6 seconds behind Ott Tänak
9'15″0 for Pierre-Louis Loubet who has some damage at the back. He says he hit during the special
Tänak beat Katsuta to the finish with a time of 9'03″9. The Estonian could have done better but he came across Rovanperä, stationary on the road, and therefore lost time
In the slow motion, we saw that Rovanperä hit a tree at the right rear the first time and then a second at the left rear. His special is over, his Sardinia Rally perhaps too
Katsuta finishes with his special. He covered the 15 km in 9'16″0. “It’s very slippery,” he said after crossing the finish line.
Rovanperä stopped in SS8! The Finn hit something on his way. He got out of the car
