The latest images from Turkey suggest that Breen will not restart in Rally 2 tomorrow. The C3 WRC completely burned after the Irishia drove for a long time with thick smoke in the cabin.

Latest reports indicate that Mikkelsen was suffering from a differential problem on the front axle, which would make only the rear wheels drive.

The special stages continue at the Rally of Türkiye, always with its share of twists and turns. Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) lost almost 2 minutes while leading the event after completing the Yesilbelde special (34km) with mechanical problems. Its tires are in good condition, but it could be the victim of a transmission problem with only the rear-wheel drive.

Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) aimed for 3rd place before going off the road. Craig Breen (Citroën) lost more than 6 minutes following a mechanical problem, with thick smoke emerging from the passenger compartment of his C3 WRC which was running in 6th place.

Ott Tänak (Toyota) was the fastest, completing the special in 27'12''3, 11 seconds ahead of his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala. The Finn reported suffering from hydraulic problems on his Yaris WRC. Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) follows at 14 seconds ahead of Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) at 42 seconds.

Ott Tänak inherits the leading position at Rally Turkey with a 13-second lead over Jari-Matti Latvala. Hayden Paddon completes the provisional podium, 37 seconds behind the Finn. Andreas Mikkelsen follows his teammate at 16 seconds with 2 minutes ahead of Teemu Suninen who takes advantage of Craig Breen's problems and the retirement of Sébastien Ogier to climb to 5th place.

Mikkelsen reached the finish with tires in good condition. His Hyundai could have a transmission problem with only rear wheel drive.

Mikkelsen has a hard time reaching the finish. The Hyundai driver was the victim of several spins which caused him to frequently stall. The Norwegian finished 1'42 behind Tänak. He fell to 4th place, 16 seconds behind his teammate Paddon, who completed the new provisional podium behind the Toyotas of Tänak and Latvala.

Mikkelsen is now 1'15 behind Tänak in the 9th split. The Hyundai driver risks leaving the provisional podium.

Mikkelsen would operate with the delaminated right rear tire. The Hyundai driver is around 50s behind Tänak who should take the lead of the race!

Ogier went off the road in a left turn. The Ford is on the side of the road but the French crew got out of the car, probably unable to leave!

Tänak improves the reference with 14″2 ahead of Paddon. The Estonian should have done what is necessary to widen the gap on his teammate Latvala, but he could also threaten Mikkelsen who is around 20 seconds behind the Toyota driver.
