It was only a matter of days to finally know the composition of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team for 2023.

The Italian team comes Luca Marini who will once again race alongside Marco Bezzecchi aboard a Ducati next season. “I am very happy to be able to announce the renewal of the contract with the Mooney VR46 Racing Team for 2023,” rejoices Marini. It is important to guarantee the continuity of this working group and the Ducati project which allows us to obtain good results and to fight for the podium at the end of the season. We are a team of beginners, this is the first year that we are all working together, and we will continue to use this method to achieve great things already in 2022 and in the future with Vale, whom I thank for this opportunity, and the VR46 Riders Academy who always supports me. Our goal is to finish the season in the best possible way and to start strong again next January. We want to fight for the positions that matter, namely the podium and victory at each GP and to be the best independent team in the championship. »

After signing his best result in Austria then on home soil in Misano, the 2 Moto2020 world vice-champion is showing good progress. As a reminder, since its beginnings in MotoGP last year, Marini always finished his races.

Two handlebars to be confirmed…

Takaaki Nakagami has not yet been made official in the LCR team for next season. We know that the Japanese's place could go to his compatriot Ai Ogura, second in the general classification in Moto2. Ogura has made it clear he doesn't feel ready to take the plunge, but if he does take the crown, we can imagine he'll quickly change his mind.

As for Tech3, the driver who will work alongside Pol Espargaro on the GasGas is not yet known, even if Augusto Fernandez, leader in Moto2, is in pole position. Remy Gardner should move to WorldSBK, probably on a Yamaha from the GRT team; Garett Gerloff being tipped to become Loris Baz's teammate on BMW. Other rumors see the Australian joining the Ducati clan in WorldSBK in place of Michael Ruben Rinaldi who has still not been confirmed for next year with Alvaro Bautista.
