The FIA World Cup entry list F3 still moving. A few days before the Macau Grand Prix (November 16-19), MP Motorsport had to readjust its trio in preparation for the 70e editing. Current resident of the Dutch training in Formula 2 and already confirmed for the 2024 season, Dennis Hauger will take the place of Franco Colapinto, who was forced to withdraw.
The Argentinian is preparing to compete in the Abu Dhabi F2 round (November 24-26), replacing Jehan Daruvala for the Batavians, in addition to the rookie test of F1 with Williams, of which he is a member of the academy, in the process, and therefore preferred to concentrate on that.
Faced with this situation, MP Motorsport therefore turned to Dennis Hauger. Formula 3 champion in 2021 and still deprived of a participation in Macau, the Norwegian did not refuse the proposal. “ Last night I received a call from MP Motorsport offering me to participate in the 70e edition of the prestigious Macau Grand Prix as part of the FIA F3 World Cup, he explains on his social networks.
Riding in Macau has always been a dream of mine but due to the Covid-19 pandemic I never had the opportunity. It's last minute so my preparation will be very limited. I am excited to take this opportunity with this great team and I will give my best. »
