Present at the rookie tests for the Japanese championship last week, the Grassois will go into exile in the land of the Rising Sun in 2024. With the ambition to follow in the footsteps of Pierre Gasly and Liam Lawson, who used the Japanese series as a springboard towards the F1.

The future of Theo Pourchaire is taking shape far from the Old Continent. If he keeps his reservist cap F1 at Sauber for the 2024 campaign, the Habs have managed to find the right compromise so as not to remain inactive next season. Like several of his former comrades from the F2, the crowned driver in the antechamber of the Grands Prix has decided to head to Japan and its very famous Super Formula where he will meet Ayumu Iwasa (4th in Formula 2 in 2023), recently confirmed at Team Mugen.

Barely a week after the F2 title obtained in Abu Dhabi, Pourchaire was in Japan for the rookie tests of the Japanese championship. A taste of
