After presenting the 911 Speedster Concept last June, the latest model of which is on display at the Paris Motor Show, Porsche confirmed the sale of the model for a limited series of 1948 copies.
The number 1948 was not chosen at random. The Stuutgart manufacturer refers here to the license obtained by the 356 “Number 1” on June 8, 1948.
All bodywork elements will be taken from the 911 Speedster Concept which is derived from the 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet. The front (under which the tank is hidden) and rear covers are made of carbon fiber composite. The chassis comes from the 911 GT3.
The Porsche 911 Speedster will be powered by a flat 6 developing more than 500hp capable of reaching 9000rpm.
