Vincent, well done! Tell us about this tour…

It was a magical ride. I was under pressure to be honest, because I wasn't very comfortable during the practice sessions and I wasn't where I wanted to be with the Ferrari although it is a car that suits me enormously. We worked well with my teammates (Louis Prette and Conrad Grunewald. Ed.) and I am very proud of what we have accomplished over the past three years. I'm enjoying new tires on this car and having two laps alone on this legendary track was fabulous. I disconnected, I was in the zone, as I often am with this car. This is the kind of moment you love in car racing. Indianapolis, Porsche, I unplugged. I wish I could do this every day.

Did you expect to be able to take pole position here?

Yes, because I am what I am capable of in this car. I recognize myself since I drive cars that I have fun with. There is a good atmosphere in this team which makes me feel beyond my abilities. I also want to thank my team, because the car was clearly not ready to participate in the Hyperpole this morning (Thursday. Editor's note) and they found what was bothering us in Free Practice.

What do you expect for the race?

I don't expect anything. It was very important to validate this, this choice that I made in my career to test things. I showed what I was capable of today (Thursday, editor's note). The objective is to have the best possible race with Louis and Conrad who have been fabulous since the start of the weekend and even since the Asian Le Mans Series. We just want to ride, have fun, not make any mistakes and we'll see in the end.
