Toyota right in its BoP

22nd hour of racing. In four minutes and 29 seconds, Brendon Hartley will give up the wheel of his Toyota n°8 to his teammate Ryo Hirakawa, who will be responsible for reaching the finish in a wild sprint. It is forbidden to keep any underfoot, because after 1320 minutes of effort since the start, the day before at 16 p.m., the Ferrari n°51 leads by only 9″151. The suspense is at its peak, especially since since the morning, the Italian has been experiencing problems when restarting during her refueling stops. When signs of weakness appear, it's never good. It is also the signal for the competition to throw its last strength into the fight. As proof, at 5h28′ from the finish, the #8 Toyota overtook the Ferrari stuck in the pits and regained the lead for a handful of seconds.

Ryo Hirakawa's accident 1h40 from the finish decided the outcome of the race. @DPPI
