The European Le Mans Series begins this weekend with the 4 Hours of Barcelona.
Driving began this Friday on the Catalan track with Free Practice 1. At the end of this hour and a half session, it was the Oreca 07 n°14 of AO by TF of Louis Delétraz, Robert Kubica and Jonny Edgar who set the best time in 1:28.821.
The Acura driver beat Alex Lynn (Algarve Pro Racing n°25) by 0.232 seconds and James Allen (Duqueine Team) by 0.300 seconds.
Oliver Jarvis set the LM P2 Pro-Am benchmark time for United Autosports in 1:30.026.
Portuguese Manuel Espirito Santo set the best lap in LM P3 in 1:35.045.
Philip Keen set the best LMGT3 mark in the No. 296 JMW Motorsport Ferrari 66 in 1:40.826 ahead of Daniel Serra (Kessel Racing) 0.291 seconds behind and Matthew Griffin (Spirit of Race) 0.388 seconds behind. The cars of Maranello are signed a quintuplet during these Free Practice 1.
The second Free Practice session will take place this Saturday at 10:10 a.m.
