- Pole position for the 4 Hours of Barcelona was a close call. While Neel Jani (Duqueine) and James Allen (Algarve) successively occupied the top of the ranking, it was ultimately the Frenchman Reshad de Gerus who emerged in the very last moments to offer pole position to COOL Racing in 1:29.396 .
- LM P2 Pro-Am qualifying was temporarily neutralized by a red flag after the No. 07 DragonSpeed Oreca 81, driven then by Henrik Hedman, was immobilized at the trackside following a brake problem at the right front .
- Salih Yoluc gave his teammate Louis Delétraz a nice birthday present by taking pole position in the LM P2 Pro-Am category in 1:30.947 for Racing Team Turkey.
- The LM P3 qualifying session was interrupted by a red flag following the exit of Manuel Espirito Santo at the wheel of the #320 Ligier JS P8 – Nissan of Team Virage. Argentinian Marcos Siebert took pole position in his category in 1:35.250 for the No. 17 COOL Racing car.
- Martin Berry was the fastest in LMGTE Am in 1:41.060 at the wheel of the Ferrari 488 GTE Evo n°66 from JMW Motorsport.
