It will be the Oreca 03-Nissan of Thiriet by TDS Racing which will start on pole for the 6 Hours of Le Castellet thanks to the time of 1:48:171 set by Mathias Beche. The Swiss is ahead of Status GP's Lola B12/80 Coupé-Judd driven by Yelmer Buurman by three tenths and the Zytek Z11SN-Nissan driven by Tom Kimber-Smith by seven tenths. Guillaume Moreau places the Oak Racing Morgan-Judd in fourth position. Stéphane Sarrazin only sets the seventh time with Sébastien's Oreca 03 Loeb Racing, whose boss of the eponymous team made the trip after his retirement from Rally from Portugal. Massimo Vignali (Boutsen Energy Racing) takes pole in the LMPC category ahead of the Oreca FLM09 of Phil Keen.
The Norma M200P-Judd of Extreme Limite ARIC and the Oreca 03-Nissan of Boutsen Energy Racing did not take part in qualifying. The Belgian prototype bearing the number 45 was damaged by a fire during free practice.
