ELMS – Brno and Portimao replaced by Petit Le Mans

Faced with the lack of competitors competing in the ELMS Championship, the organizers of the discipline have decided to replace the Brno and Portimao events with Petit Le Mans which will also constitute the final of the ALMS Championship.

ELMS – Brno and Portimao replaced by Petit Le Mans

The 6 Hours of Donington presented a very poor field with only 13 cars entered to compete in the second event of the season. Facing a lack of competitors for its Championship, the organizers decided to replace the last two meetings of the season, Brno and Portimao, with the Petit race. Le Mans which will also be the season finale of the American Le Mans Series.

This event will be contested from October 17 to 20 at Road Atlanta in Georgia over a format of 1000 miles (1609km) or ten hours if the distance is not covered. The organizers of theELMS are working to build the future of the discipline and will unveil their proposal for the following seasons in September. The European Endurance Championship will therefore only consist of three events this year.
