ELMS – Minassian replaces Hirakawa for two races

Nicolas Minassian will replace Ryo Hirakawa on the G-Drive Racing Oreca 07 for the next two races of theELMS au Red Bull Ring (July 23) and at Paul-Ricard (August 27). The Dragonspeed sporting director will compete alongside Léo Roussel and Memo Rojas who won during the last round in Monza (Italy) on May 14.

“I'm really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of a prototype and racing in such a competitive discipline, comments Nicolas Minassian. I tested the car at Le Mans during the Test Day with the team and I am already won over by these new LMP2s. The No. 22 is clearly well placed in the title race and I hope to be able to help Leo and Memo to score two good results. »

Like last year with TDS Racing, Ryo Hirakawa will not be able to play for the title due to a clash of dates with Super GT. The Japanese is integrated into the young pilot program of Toyota. G-Drive Racing leads the Championship with ten points ahead of United Autosports who won the opening round at Silverstone with the Ligier JS P217 of Filipe Albuquerque, Hugo de Sadeleer and Will Owen.
