ELMS: Towards a change of calendar?

The production of this series seems to be having problems?
The late publication of the calendar has decided some competitors to turn to the WEC (World Championship ofEndurance. Editor’s note), the unfavorable economic situation and the multiplication of possibilities offered to gentlemen drivers mean that all European organizers are suffering.

Can we guarantee the continuation of the schedule?

I'm going to have a meeting with all the teams this weekend to see what makes sense to do. Perhaps we are moving towards a reduction in the timetable before Le Mans (Cancellation of Zolder? Editor’s note) compensated by the addition of a test a little later But it is the general opinion which will prevail.

How can we explain the absence of GTC and FLM which are successful in ALMS?
I don't really have an explanation for these two phenomena. This is all the more surprising since these are two “economic” categories. We are also considering expanding the GTC in 2013 because the European Le Mans Series must exist on the basis of 35 cars. We are missing around ten which I do not despair of recovering over the course of the events this year. But this series is one of the fundamental bases for the sustainability of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
