Ford revealed this Saturday, December 16, the names of the drivers who will sit behind the wheel of the brand's new Mustang GT3s on the oval. Only three names were known so far: Joey Hand, Dirk Müller and Mike Rockenfeller. They are joined by Ben Barker, Chris Mies, Dennis Olsen, Andy Priaulx and Frédéric Vervisch.

Mies and Vervisch are behind the wheel of the Mustang GT3 at Daytona International Speedway this Saturday, in preparation for the 24 Hours of Daytona in late January, where they will complete the Ford Multimatic Motorsports team, with Mies joining Tincknell and Rockenfeller in the No. 64 Mustang and Vervisch taking his place in No. 65 alongside Hand and Müller.

The Florida classic will mark the official competition debut of the new GT3, while the legendary Mustang will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2024. “This is such an important and special year for Mustang as it celebrates its 60th anniversary as we kick off Mustang racing around the world., said Mark Rushbrook, global director of Ford Performance Motorsports. The nine selected factory drivers will be made available to the customer teams mentioned above for the 2024 season during which the Mustang GT3s can be seen in the World Championship.Endurance of the FIA ​​(WEC), IMSA or in GT World Challenge. The full list of programs will be announced next year by the teams.
