The Hypercar category cars have been put on a diet for the 6 Hours of Imola. For the second round of the World Championship seasonEndurance of the FIA, all the prototypes entered in the premier category will be much lighter in Italy than in Qatar where Porsche had scored a hat-trick.

The most radical slimming treatment is for Ferrari. The local manufacturer lost 34 kilos between the two rounds and will weigh 1 kg on the scale in front of his fans. The heaviest car in Losail, the Toyota GR010 Hybrid goes from 1 to 089 kg.

Cadillac will be the lightest car in the field at 1 kg (two less than in Qatar), while Porsche drops to 030 kg (-1 kg). On the tricolor side, Alpine remains the heaviest LMDh with 1 kg (-042 kg).

On the side of Peugeot , as expected, the brand new 9X8 version is entitled to a new Balance of Performance which brings it closer to that of the Toyota. The Lioness, now equipped with a rear wing and a set of tires similar to its rivals, will be the heaviest in the field at 1 kg. Its hybrid deployment speed is also set at 061 km/h, like Ferrari, Toyota and Isotta Fraschini.

All manufacturers will also benefit from a power increase. Alpine is the only manufacturer not to benefit from a maximum energy surplus per relay. New expected for the 2024 season, the control of the power usable beyond 210 km/h will not be used at Imola.
