GTP
Cadillac and Porsche play a game of cat and mouse. After 15 hours of racing, the No. 31 of Pipo Derani and the No. 6 of Kévin Estre exchange the lead of the 24 Hours of Daytona. The Frenchman's 963 is on a strategy that differs from the other GTPs in the field, with a delayed pit stop, which means that it regains control at the moment when the No. 31 Cadillac, virtually in the lead, passes through its box. .
BMW's (slim) chances of victory were wiped out just before passing the 15th hour mark: Connor de Phillippi returned to the pits and the #25 BMW is currently in his garage for repairs to the engine compartment.
LM P2
Change of leader in LM P2: it is now Christian Rasmussen who leads aboard the No. 18 Oreca of the Era Motorsport team, having got the better of the No. 99 AO Racing of Matthew Brabham on the track . Ferdinand Habsburg completes the top 3 at present with the #8 Tower Motorsports.
GTD Pro / GTD
In GTD Pro, race controls vary from lap to lap depending on pit stops! Virtually, it is the No. 3 Corvette of Dani Juncadella which still leads the GT category, ahead of Daniel Serra in the No. 62 Ferrair of Risi Competizione. In GTD, Indy Dontje is in the lead aboard the Mercedes-AMG n°57 Winward Racing.
Also note the abandonment of the No. 66 Acura of the Gradient Racing team – made up of a trio of female drivers – due to an electrical system problem, while the No. 19 Lamborghini of Iron Lynx, which was driven by Mirko Bortolotti, was forced to return to the garage and lose several laps.
