24 Hours of Daytona – H+20: Porsche in the lead, the weather becomes uncertain

Will the rain disrupt the forward march of Porsche ? Leading the 24 2024 Hours of Daytona with three hours to go, the No. 7 currently driven by Felipe Nasr has a little less than five seconds ahead of the No. 31 Cadillac of Jack Aitken. Nothing is decided, especially as the sky darkens above the circuit and a few drops of rain appear in the paddock. A situation which could worsen at the end of the morning.

Kévin Estre is in third position in the #7 Porsche ahead of Colton Herta (#40 Acura WTRAndretti). The two BMWs bring up the rear of the GTP category several laps behind.

LM P2

The situation is tightening in LM P2 with the return of Christian Rasmussen (Era Motorsport no. 18) on the heels of Colin Braun (Crowdstrike by APR no. 04). Frenchman Tom Dillmann is in ambush in third position for Inter Europol by PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports, pursued by a certain Felipe Massa (Riley n°74).

GTD / GTD Pro

James Calado leads the GT peloton with the Ferrari 296 GT3 #62 of James Calado, ahead of the #1 Paul Miller Racing BMW and the #77 “Rexy” Porsche of AO Racing, driven by Michael Christensen. note that Dorian Pin is currently at the wheel of the #83 Lamborghini Huracana of the Iron Dames in 9th position in the GTD.
