GTD

After a quiet and uninterrupted 16th hour of racing, the 17th hour of these 24 Hours of Daytona began with a new Full Course Yellow (see LM P2), reducing to nothing the good lead built by Pipo Derani on the No. 31 Cadillac. If the Brazilian was able to maintain control of the race after the restart, the champion IMSA in title must now resist the four Porsche behind him ! The No. 963 Porsche 6 of Nick Tandy is stuck with the No. 31 Cadillac V-Series.R, while Felipe Nasr remains at a good distance, less than 10 seconds from the leader.

LM P2

Despite the Full Course Yellow, still no change at the head of LM P2 with the No. 18 Oreca of the Era Motorsport team in the lead, now driven by Connor Zilisch, ahead of the No. 04 Crowdstrike Racing of Toby Sowery.

Unfortunately for "Spike" fans, AO Racing's No. 99 Oreca went off the track at the Horseshoe corner. Matthew Brabham, then 5th in the LM P2 category and in contention for victory, lost control of his vehicle when braking and went straight ahead. After a few minutes of stopping and the deployment of Full Course Yellow, the American was able to restart but three laps behind the leader.

GTD Pro / GTD

While Ferrari and Corvette was leading a good battle at the head of the GTD Pro, the Full Course Yellow allowed the #1 BMW of the Paul Miller Racing team to take the lead in the GT, with a small lead in front of the two Corvette Racing, the n #4 ahead of #3. The No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari is relegated to 4th place, more than 30 seconds behind the leader. In GTD, Philip Ellis leads the way aboard the Mercedes-AMG n°57 from Winward Racing.
