On March 19, 2022, Roberto Lacorte, Antonio Fuoco and Giorgio Sernagiotto led their Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO to victory in the GTD category during the 70th edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Two years later, the Cetilar Racing trio is still the same and approaches the second of the five championship events with the same spirit as before. IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar 2024, scheduled for this week (March 14-16) on the Florida circuit.

The Italian team will be at the start with Ferrari 296 GT3 n°47, already entered, still with the support of AF Corse, at the end of January at the 24 Hours of Daytona (where Eddie Cheever III joined the three drivers). The double clock round was concluded with a tenth place in the category, notably due to an accident.

For Lacorte, Fuoco and Sernagiotto, this will be their third consecutive participation in the 12 Hours of Sebring, the second precisely with the Ferrari 296 GT3. We return to Sebring after a victory and a difficult year, which nevertheless served to prepare the 296 GT3 which, this year, is pushed to the forefront.

« We return to Sebring after a victory and a difficult year, which nevertheless served to prepare the 296 GT3, which this year shows the results of the excellent work carried out, commented Roberto Lacorte. At this stage, it is up to us, the drivers, to play our role, by having at our disposal a car that can allow us to achieve a good result. We must work with the state of mind and the awareness that our team, thanks to AF Corse, Ferrari and a well-established group of drivers, can only perform well. We are preparing to face the most important and difficult race of the season with serenity and this important certainty. »

The first Free Practice session will take place on Thursday from 15:05 p.m. (French time).
