The information, relayed by Reuters, materializes several months of speculation on a supposed arrival of the two well-known brands in the world of motorsport, and in particular ofEndurance. On the other hand, Diess did not really detail the modalities of arrival of either brand, still remaining evasive on the question.

Porsche more ready

He simply clarified that Porsche's preparation was a little more concrete. As a reminder, the Stuttgart brand is expected to join forces with Red Bull, particularly with a view to the new era of 2026 engines, giving pride of place to a greater share of electric power, which fits perfectly with the specifications desired by Porsche and Audi.

As far as Audi is concerned, there is obviously still talk of a possible takeover of McLaren, Reuters even suggesting that the brand with the four rings would be ready to make an offer of around 500 million euros to acquire the British luxury car brand.
