McLaren is fond of special liveries: in 2023, the British team had used five unique dresses, more than any other team. This year, it didn't take long to see a first special livery appear: the Oranges unveiled their colors for the Japanese Grand Prix this Wednesday.

A livery designed by Japanese artist MILTZ, as part of the “Driven by Change” program, which highlights emerging creators through the Formula 1 by offering them the opportunity to present their works of art to the world.

The livery designed by MILTZ is inspired by Edomoji, a traditional Japanese calligraphy, used here to represent the speed of a Formula 1 car in the form of a dragon streaking through the clouds. The MCL38 finds here some touches of blue on its sidepods and on its front wing.
