The manufacturer of the Formula 1, Pirelli, has revealed the different possible strategies for the Saudi Arabian GP. According to the Italian supplier, teams must opt for a one-stop strategy on the Jeddah circuit, a more efficient choice and less costly in terms of time spent in the pits.

Depending on the degradation of the rubber and the strategic choice at the start of the Saudi Arabian GP, three options are available to the teams on the Corniche circuit: in the event of a start on Medium tires, a Medium – Hard strategy with a first stopping around the 22nd lap, or a Medium – Soft strategy with an extended stint until around the 31st lap, are possible. Otherwise, with a start on Soft tires, a Soft – Hard strategy with a pit stop around the 18th lap is possible, according to the manufacturer.

Pirelli also offers an alternative strategy, which is supposed to be more aggressive but which can be used depending on the racing facts. Still after starting on Softs, drivers could switch to Mediums then return to Softs at the end of the race, in the event of a Safety Car for example.

In terms of the remaining sets of tires for the Saudi Arabian GP, the allocation is quite different for all the drivers. In the top 10, alone Fernando Alonso still has a new set of soft tires. On the other hand, all drivers except Aston Martin have an unused set of medium tires, and even two sets for the Red Bull, Williams et Lando Norris. The pilots McLaren and Aston Martin also no longer have new hard tires available.

As a reminder, Pirelli brought tires from the middle of its range to Saudi Arabia: the C2 (hard), the C3 (medium) and the C4 (soft).
