Oschersleben – Aitken first poleman of the season

It was on a dry but slightly cool track that the 20 competitors of the 2024 season set off. DTM. Jack Aitken (Emil Frey Racing) did not take long to set his reference time. As in 2023, the grid is very tight in DTM. The balance of performance is sufficiently well established for the top 11 to be held within the same second. There are 4 tenths of a second that separate Aitken from his teammate Thierry Vermeulen, 11th in qualifying.
The poor performance of this first session is signed by Thomas Preining, the reigning champion who will only start from 16th position.
The first DTM race is about to start on the Oschersleben circuit.
