Bruno Spengler and Maxime Martin, high-end beginners in ETCR

The Canadian and the Belgian have a lot in common, including an arm-length track record. The first is DTM champion in 2012, and the second won the 24 2016 Hours of Spa and 2020 Le Mans in GTE. This year, they are starting together in the eTouring Car World Cup.

How do you become a beginner again at your age (36 years for Martin, 38 for Spengler)?

Maxime Martin: It's always special to become a rookie in a discipline. We have to adapt to the regulations, to the way the championship works. Additionally, here it is necessary to take into account the electrical aspect of the series. We don't drive much, so we have to learn and adapt with this very short track time. It's really not simple. The last time I was a real beginner in a championship was in DTM in 2014. It's not easy, but our Romeo Ferraris team is really well prepared and already has experience.
