Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2024 ranking – Stage 1 and general:

  • The first stage of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2024 (ADDC) took place this Tuesday, February 27 around Aldhannah. In the absence of hybrid Audis and Sébastien Loeb, busy celebrating its 50th anniversary and developing the Dacia for its debut at the end of the year, Nasser Al-Attiyah (Prodrive) is enjoying himself. The Qatari, sailed for the first time in his career by the Frenchman Édouard Boulanger in place of Mathieu Baumel, dominated the debates by finishing with the best time and three minutes ahead of the 2nd in the 2024 Dakar, Guillaume de Mévius and Xavier Panseri (Toyota).
  • Disappointment for Guerlain Chicherit and Alex Winocq (Toyota). The French duo, who set off with a bang, lost around twenty minutes following a proper crash in the dunes at the end of the special.
  • The winner of the 2023 edition of the ADDC, Yazeed Al-Rajhi (Toyota) is lying in wait in 7th place, ahead of American rookie Seth Quintero (Toyota).
  • The second round of the World Championship rally-raid (W2RC) runs until Saturday March 2.
