When Guerlain Chicherit engages in a sporting project, it is not to make up the numbers. Despite the absence of a stage victory, the French tandem showed itself to be the most consistent of all, notably by avoiding mechanical breakdowns which affected the same English 4×4 of Sébastien Loeb-Fabian Lurquin during Stage 4, or by puncturing tires less often, unlike Nasser Al-Attiyah-Mathieu Baumel in Stage 2.

The Alsatian, however, concedes first place in the W2RC to his rival Nasser Al-Attiyah with only one round remaining, the Andalusia Rally (Spain, October 18-23). The Qatari leaves Morocco with around twenty points margin in the championship.
