Rallye Mont-Blanc – The drivers’ comments before nightfall

After 6 special stages contested during this Rally, Yoann Bonato (C3 Rally2) is 12”2 ahead of Léo Rossel (C3 Rally2) and 16”7 over his teammate Hugo Margaillan (C3 Rally2). 

Ludovic Godard is at the head of theAlpine Elf Rally Trophy ahead of Pierre Roché by 4”9. In Stellantis, Anthony Fotia is ahead of Jérôme Chavanne, while in Clio Trophy France, cup leader Benjamin Stirling is in the forefront ahead of Romain Fostier. 

Bonato : “It was, it’s a shame that Eric (Camilli) took a penalty. It would have made a great fight. We are on the right pace. »

Camilli : “I gave everything in the last one, it would have been a great fight, it’s a shame this penalty. We move up to 10th place. We will try to catch up with the group just ahead. The most important thing is that we proved our top speed as we did at Rouergue. » 

Margaillan : " Not bad. We have been working since the start of the race to be a little better in the car, we don't quite have the settings we had before. Rossel is riding well there is a good fight for the podium. If we can do a CHL double tomorrow that would be good but there is still work to do. »

Rossel : “We are happy. We're not far away, there's still a bit missing. I haven't been back since 2018, I didn't know about the short ES. We're not used to the night, it's going to be my baptism of fire with a car like this. » 

Astier : “It's going well but it's difficult with the lack of knowledge of the terrain. There's a lot of hesitation, we didn't have too much fun in the last three. It's going to be complicated for the last night but we're going to do our best. »

old : “It forces us to step out of our comfort zone. » 

Bochatay : “We made the choice to bring our tires at the end of the day. The weather is not very good in the last one. »

Blood : “You have to log as many kilometers as possible to gain experience” 

Godard : “You have to stay calm and keep a cool head. The rallies we know are obviously easier. » 

Fotia : " It went very well. We have a lot of fun. We made 0 mistakes. It's an important weekend for us because it can validate our U29 title. » 

Knob : “it was a little hard in the first two this morning, I didn't put in enough commitment, it was better this afternoon but there is still a big chunk left with the night.” 

Stirling : “In this place, things can only go well! For respect for the elders I left a scratch to Romain (Fostier)! (Laughs) »
