Appreciated by motorsport fans, particularly for his roles in the films “ Le Mans » and “Bullit”, Steve McQueen would have been 80 years old today. Born March 24, 1930 and died November 7, 1980, the American actor was a true motorsport enthusiast, and notably had a second place in the 12 1970 Hours of Sebring on his driving record. A result obtained with one leg in the plaster, on a Porsche 908 shared with Peter Revson. The American duo even came close to victory, finishing only 23 seconds behind the Ferrari 512 S by Mario Andretti.

Find in your AUTOhebdo magazine, currently on newsstands, the test of the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500, the first model of which was made famous by the film Bullit.
