The qualifying session of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023 took place this Wednesday, June 7 without the spectators getting a long glimpse of the Porsche 963 Hypercar from the Hertz Team JOT. The golden car entrusted to Will Stevens, Antonio Félix Da Costa and Yifei Ye only completed a few kilometers at the very end of the session, without recording any time.

The British team, which is making its debut in the premier category after a long experience in LM P2, encountered a problem with the hybrid system. Engineers are investigating this damage. The Porsche 963 Hypercar features equipment produced in association between Bosch (motor-generator unit, electronics and software) and Williams Advanced Engineering (high voltage battery) on the rear axle.
