Since the rebirth of DTM in 2000, the audience for this discipline continued to increase. So much so that the figures for the 2011 season set a new audience record. Live coverage of DTM races attracted an average of 1,4 million viewers (1,37 in 2009 and 1.2 in 2010), representing an average market share of 10,8 percent. The presence on the international scene has also exploded. The DTM was covered live or re-live in 114 countries around the world. Added to these figures is an impressive list of 1533 programs (compared to 612 in 2010) and a total airtime of 2626 hours (888 in 2010).
