The World Motor Sport Council, meeting this Friday in Paris, announced that the GT1 world championship would be confirmed for 2013 only if 10 teams representing 10 manufacturers present themselves before August 30, 2012. Under current conditions, the championship would not be not on the calendar in 2013 since it only has 9 teams and 9 manufacturers; unless this announcement from the World Motor Sport Council suggests the arrival of a new manufacturer.
