Free practice for the 24 Hours of Spa has just ended. And it was in the rain that this session took place. As expected, if it rains, the GT3s will have a role to play overall. So the best time this morning goes to the Phoenix Racing Audi R8 entrusted to Lucas Luhr, Mike Rockenfeller, Marcel Fässler and Anthony Kumpen.
The #50 car is ahead of its sister car driven by Marc Henerici, Alex Margaritis, Andrea Piccini and Henri Moser. It's another GT3 that completes the top three, the No. 99 Marc VDS Ford GT of Bas Leinders, Maxime Martin and Marc Duez.
The best GT2 time was achieved by the Porsche Imsa n°16 of Richard Lietz, Raymond Narac, Patrick Pilet and Patrick Long, fourth overall. There Ferrari AF Corse of Van de Poele/Bruni/Vilander/Longin is fifth ahead of the Porsche BMS shared by Romain Dumas with Martin Ragginger, Wolf Henzler and Jorg Bermeister. The Mosler MT 900 Romain Grosjean, entered in GT-N, finished seventh.
Note the big outings of a Lamborghini Reiter and Marc Lieb at the wheel of a Porsche Prospeed.
